Blazer is the department's current K-9 unit having joined the force with his partner Ofc. Dick Clark in summer 2005. Blazer is dual trained as both a narcotics and tracking dog. He is also a popular with residents and children and is frequently seen at community events.
Comet was the department's first K-9 unit. Comet served with Ofc. Dick Clark from 1998 until his retirement in 2005 due to health issues. Comet was specially trained to sniff out drugs and do drug tracks. Comet was also a best friend with many of the boys and girls of our community.
